Astro's story
This boy is a black lab mix, approx 7 yrs young, male neutered, pulled from Columbus animal shelter in June.. still waiting for a forever home !!. Foster mom shared this:. Probably BEST as an ONLY DOG because he is protective of property; not immediately friendly with strangers in the house. He does not get along well with my dog but she instigates most of the arguments. He has a prey drive - wants to chase cats, but unsure if he would harm them. Growls slightly when you try to get him to do things he doesn't want to do (such as a bath). Trainer evaluation (Janet at SkyviewK9, TROY, OH) said that he would benefit immensely from training and would be a perfect dog. (If adopted, DREAM pet rescue - Dream4pets.org - will assist with the training expenses.)

Favorite toy: Kong, ball and leash

Enjoys: car rides, walks, playing ball, chew toys

Favorite activity: Cuddling or playing

Demeanor: Calm but loves to play

Interaction w/visitors: Whines more than barks

Inside - has bedroom and sleeps in crate when in living room

Outside: chain-link fence
